Eunice Straight Head resides in the community of Mahto Wakpa (Bear Creek) on the Cheyenne River Reservation. Eunice was raised strong with values and virtues of her family (tiwahe). She now pursues her vision for the oyate, the people. Her foresight is sparked by tradition to always see the beauty in everything - portraits, land, and documentary photography. Perseverance and creativity drive her passion for this art form after picking up the camera 3 years ago. She is now attending Black Hills State University to obtain a degree in photography and continuing to open this new perception to feed her nagi (soul).
